It has been 5 weeks of no crossfitting (tear)(lots of tears) Muscle relaxers and pain meds are just not doing it. Started laser therapy on my torn oblique muscle yesterday—fingers crossed that I heal quick! I am taking the level 1 cert next week! Butterflies in the stomach and head is mush from all the studying!
All day I kept saying I wasn’t going to do this wod because my shoulders are absolutely trashed and I cracked a rib over the weekend from my crazy insane cough I have had for the past few weeks. My workouts have been simply awful because I have been so sick…I know you are suppose to rest when you have chest colds, but I am the type of person that just can’t sit still—I can’t even polish my nails because I can’t sit still long enough for them to dry. I was happy with my time—honestly I didn’t think I would finish under 15 at all!
I also wanted to say, thanks for all the love yesterday on my progress! I love that everyone is so motivated and that we are all working towards the same goal!
Although I was pretty upset with my performance after the workout, I realized that was only my second workout that I did rx hspu’s. It was brutal…I’m not gonna lie and so many times I wanted to grab another ab mat to make it easier, but I kept telling myself that I was making myself stronger by doing them rx. So, overall I was more so happy that I did all the hspu’s rx. Now if only I could get my muscle ups down…
Love that picture climbing the rope (do you get the "funny feeling" when you climb?)
Thanks! Hmm…I’m not sure what you mean by “funny feeling.” The feeling I do get is accomplishment every time I climb. The ropes were my nemesis when I first started cf. In all my childhood years even through hs I could not climb a rope. I was also 55 lbs heavier and my idea of a workout was jogging to the mailbox, which was about 50 meters!
1/2 cup finely chopped or ground pecans (optional–or replace with nut of your choice!) didn’t use these either.
Makes 12 muffins - under 100 calories each
Preheat oven to 350. Mash bananas, whisk in eggs, vanilla, and melted coconut oil in large bowl. In separate small bowl, mix coconut flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until you achieve a relatively smooth batter. Stir in nuts. Let batter sit while you either generously spray your muffin pan or line with paper muffin cups.
I would spray the muffin pans or use coconut oil and coat the sides. I did muffin liners and they stuck a little bit to the sides.
****You can also make pancakes out of this batter as well.
